  2. why potential due to induced charge in b is not considered and also in many cases potential due to induced charge on one surface is taken.why it is so? why dont we calculate potential due to both induced surfaces?

    electric field lines donot penetrate metal shell all induced charges neutralise.

    consider q charge to be concentrated at the centre of sphere A. hence this q point charge will give kq/3a potential at the surface of sphere c.we know that potential at the outer surface of the sphere is equal to the potential at every interior point of the sphere(also at centre).hence the expression of potential due to q charge is kq/3a
